Fenway Park

Boston is home to famous Fenway Park, home stadium of our own Boston Red Sox. This awesome ball park is a great sight to see, it has the famous green monster. Image result for green monster fenway

The green monster is the big green wall with exclusive seating. Fenway Park has festivals, events and tours you can do and see year round. But with spring being the season soon entering summer, you could grab tickets to a sox game.  This park is awesome because you can grab a delicious fenway frank at fenway and enjoy America’s favorite pastime good ol’ baseball. It has an awesome location too because it’s right in downtown with tons of restaurants and bars and shopping nearby. The park itself is a great sight to see for a tourist. An excellent spot to watch a day game, and go out on the town after.

These cool vehicles have multiple pickup locations and you can easily buy tickets online to schedule a time and day to see Boston through its lovely duck tours. The duck tours take you through the Charles River and by atleast 32 different  famous landmarks in the city so you can see and enjoy the city in a unique way, from its cool duck tours. There’s two different 80 minute tours you can take,  a great day time event to partake in with the family, then after seeing the city through your tour you could grab lunch or have a picnic in this lovely city.

These duck tours are Boston’s most popular tours the city has to offer, its a great way to see the beautiful Boston skyline right from the Charles in these cool boats. I definitely recommend doing a duck boat tour if you want to see a lot of the city and from beautiful views right on the Charles. For adults these tours cost around $32, and for students $28, $24 for kids 3-11, and $11 for infants. Reasonable price for such a high quality tour and such a cool way to see the city of Boston in only 80 minutes. Where right after you get dropped off in downtown Boston surrounded by fun filled activities at every corner.

Where to Stay in Boston

When in Boston there’s tons of hotels and even airbnb’s that you could stay at. Airbnb you could stay anywhere in the city virtually I would recommend near parts like the north end or by the business district. Today I will recommend various hotels in various price ranges that are in nice areas with plenty to do around and near.

For a higher budget ($223 a night) I would recommend staying at Revere Hotel Boston Common. This fine hotel with a lovely restaurant, great pool, hangout area at the top of the building is tucked right in busy downtown Boston with Faneuil Hall near by.  Rooftop at Revere Hotel Boston Common, Massachusetts

For a more mid range price ($162 a night) a would recommend staying at The Westin Boston Waterfront. This great hotel is right near the Boston Aquarium right near Faneuil hall and the north end with plenty to do nearby. This hotel is bayfront and boasts a lovely pool and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Image result for the westin boston waterfront

Finally, for a lower budget ($69 a night)  I recommend staying at The Farrington Inn. With this great location, 2 miles from Harvard Square, 4 miles from The Museum of Fine Arts and it is 6 miles from the New England Aquarium. This is your basic hotel you get what you pay for, a nights stay and a great location and good service. Image result for the farrington inn

North End Boston

The north end of Boston, Boston’s “little Italy”, full of tiny streets great for walking up and down and discovering some of Boston’s beauty and charm. The north end is home to some of the city’s oldest buildings, and the self guided Freedom Trail. Image result for North End

The North End is one of the best tourist attractions here in Boston, there’s tons of shops, delis, coffee shops, and ofcourse tons of delicious Italian restaurants. Aside all the lovely delicious small businesses and restaurants the North End also has Langone Park, a harborside park with courts and a playground a great place to spend some time when visiting the North End. Another great site is the Paul Revere house, the oldest building in downtown Boston, with a museum attached.

A great place to spend the day with the family because there’s so much to do in such a small area home to over 10,000 in the North End. You could hit the park, the  museum, enjoy the harbor views, and get a delicious authentic Italian Carbonara all in one afternoon.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace Boston

Faneuil Hall is one of Boston’s most renown locations in all of the city, there’s plenty to do and see at Faneuil Hall. Faneuil Hall is a shopping district with a few streets covered up and down in stores and restaurants all throughout the area. There is some really unique and cool stores here, also some really fun and delicious restaurants around too. During christmas season Faneuil Hall is a great place to bring a lover with the huge christmas tree  in the middle of it all. There’s lights up everywhere and especially on the tree, it is a very pretty sight, although Faneuil Hall itself is decorated with lights and themes all seasons and all holidays all year long. Image result for faneuil hall xmas tree

Here you can see the massive tree in the center of Faneuil Hall, with people surrounding everywhere to see the pretty sight. Faneuil Hall is a cool place because the kiosks are so different and there’s so much going on in such a cool little area of Boston right near the harbor, filled with charm. You could spend the day walking around Faneuil Hall and even go to the aqaurium! It’s a nice area with great tourist attractions and plenty to do for everyone. Image result for faneuil hall

Inside Faneuil Halls indoor mall strip there’s kiosks loaded up and down this single street also with restaurants too like Boston’s Dick’s Last Resort. A unique restaurant where the servers make jokes about you, give you a silly hat with a joke, and treat you like a dick. There’s so many different things with the Boston sports tying it all together helping this shopping distract keep its lovely charm. Definitely a good way to spend a day or a night, Faneuil Hall has a little bit of everything fir everyone, and plenty attractions nearby as well.

Saint Patrick’s Day in Boston

As you all should know, Saint Patrick’s day is March 17, a religious holiday celebrated by many. Often thought of as a Irish holiday, though it is just the celebration held for Saint Patrick’s death. With a strong Irish presence in Boston however it makes for a large and fun festival in Boston on Saint Patrick’s Day. One of Boston’s oldest traditions is the Saint Patrick’s day parade through Southie. Related image

This is a super fun festival great for all the ages, many people sharing laughs and cheers along the roads of Boston watching the parade with friends and family. This festival is full of people packing the bars and pubs and rushing the streets with there liquors and beers to celebrate. There’s a ton of pubs and bars too and theaters that have festive events for the holiday weekend. The bars especially have good deals for the holiday as well. One place to head this St. Patty’s day is Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA. They have live Irish rock and roll bands playing on the holidays and they sell corned beef and more and you’ll want to try their Irish Red Harpoon Craic brew. Surprisingly enough this just happens to be the spot I know, but I also know there’s tons of more bars and restaurants celebrating the Irish, and having events and great deals to bring customers in for the holiday. So if your in Boston for this Saint Patrick’s day I can tell you one thing, your in luck for a fun weekend full of good food, music, and tons of laughs and drinking.

Boston’s own Samuel Adams Brew

Boston is home to Samuel Adams brewing company, a well known beer company rich with Boston history. This beer comes from the founder Jim Koch, who found the recipe in the early 1980s from his great great grandfather. Samuel Adams is also notably named after the Samuel Adams, one of the founding fathers of this country, who was from Boston Massachusetts. This beer company is apart of Boston, the taste as well, people from all over the US like it but people from Boston and New England, are proud of it. The company does much more though than sell a nice lager and IPA, they also do tours and events and are involved with the community. Taking a tour of the brewery while in Boston is definitely something I would take note of because of the history of the company and the city coexisting together.

Best Beaches Near Boston

I am a summer person, I love warm weather, swimming and the beaches. This is a personal list of mine, not being from directly from Boston but an hour out I haven’t been to all the beaches nearby Boston but this is my list of the beaches I’ve been to and enjoyed the most around Boston.

To start off this list of my 4 favorite beaches near Boston I will start with, Constitution Beach, this is a nice beach in a suburb of Boston, Winthrop, right on the coast. This is one of my favorites near Boston because its about a 5 minute drive from Logan Airport and really close to downtown Boston. Also about the beach it has lots of seating space which isn’t always a luxury you have when so close to the city. But the beach also has plenty of free parking, restrooms, and you can watch planes fly right over you as you cool off in the frigid water of the northern atlantic ocean.

Next on this list is Savin Hill Beach, which is accessible off the red line on the T, the Boston public transportation. This beach is nice because its so close to the city which is really nice and it has the energy of the city. Again a lot of space to sit on the beach which is huge to me personally. This beach is cool though too because there’s a lot of cool places nearby to grab some food and also parks and baseball fields nearby for picnics and family fun. Image result for savin hill beach

The next two are a little further out but still within an hours drive of the city. Plum Island one of my New England favorite beaches, located in Newburyport Ma. This beach is amazing, it is always fairly calm, there’s a lot of space on the beach and it’s a long beach as well. The only catch for this great sand filled beach is the parking can be tricky and fill quick but it is definitely worth it. The town of Newburyport is home to tons of great restaurants too so your always close to a great meal when here.

Lastly, my favorite of them all. Good Harbor beach, located in Gloucester Ma. This one is about an hours drive north of Boston, or an hour train ride from Boston. Gloucester is a unique town full of New England charm, there’s plenty of pubs and seafood nearby when at good harbor beach. This beach has surfing when there’s wind but its usually calm, the water is nice here and its a nice open beach though it does fill up with lots of people and get crowded. It is cool here when the tide goes out because you can walk out about 50 yards to Salt Island a tiny island with nothing on it right off the beach it is quite a sight! This beach has all the relaxation and beach needs with the New England charm as a cherry on top.gloucester beaches-aerial.jpg

The New England Aquarium, in Boston

The great city of Boston, is home to the great New England Aquarium. An amazing tourist attraction with all types of marine life offered to those who want to see up close in person. They have everything from sharks, to penguins, and stingrays and colorful tropical fish.

This aquarium has been open for over 45 years, and is known for their diversity of wildlife and research towards protecting marine life. It is right on the water in the north end of Boston in a lovely area near plenty of great restaurants and shops in walking distance.

The aquarium has some impressive exhibits featuring, epaulette sharks and stingrays that you can gently reach your hands in and touch. Or you can enjoy the reef and views of the 200,000 gallon tank. There’s even a seal exhibit, and a separate penguin exhibit as well.  This aquarium is even home to some species of octopus.

This is an image of the impressive 200,000 gallon ocean tank exhibit home to tons of different species of wildlife. If your ever in Boston I definitely recommend adding this aquarium to your to do ,its a must see sight in my opinion. With a great souvenir shop as well to add sentimental value for travelers from afar. It really is a unique aquarium a true sight to see, a great atmosphere and place to be when in Boston.
